BGFIBank Group real estate subsidiary
Specialized in real estate, Hedenia's activities are threefold: project development and assistance, delegated project management for customers who don't have the time to follow a project, and management of the Group's real estate assets. Hedenia keeps an inventory of all the Group's real estate assets and monitors all aspects of their development (prevention, maintenance, security, upkeep, etc.) to ensure that buildings and their installations are always operational. Hedenia works to prevent risks; preventive maintenance, for example, makes it possible to plan maintenance work so that curative maintenance is more a question of emergency interventions than a lack of foresight.
At the heart of real estate
Its main role is to handle construction for the BGFIBank Group alone. The real estate subsidiary is responsible for inviting tenders, analyzing them, selecting contractors, validating plans, signing contracts and starting work. A project manager is appointed for each project. His or her mission is to see the project through to completion, as quickly as possible and within budget. When a foreign subsidiary wishes to construct a building, it entrusts Hedenia with the task of acting as delegated project manager.
It will put in place all the elements required to ensure the smooth running of the operation, and will assume the role of project manager within a steering committee comprising the subsidiary's general management, that of Hedenia, the project manager delegated by Hedenia and the local project manager.
Hedenia is also, and above all, a major property manager. The subsidiary looks after both Group-owned and leased buildings. The Chairman and CEO's aim is to enable subsidiaries to gradually acquire their own buildings. This is the case for Assinco (insurance), BGFIBank Gabon, BGFIBank Congo, BGFIBank GE and BGFI Holding Corporation (BHC). Hedenia guarantees the quality of construction projects. It negotiates prices and trades with the companies called upon to work on the site, but also undertakes to guarantee the quality of the work and the maintenance of the building. The ambition is also to progressively develop modern buildings with a genuine BGFIBank Group identity.
For example, the BGFIBank Congo headquarters and the Equatorial Guinea headquarters in Bata have been designed to reflect the Group's identity.
